Role: Senior Delivery Manager
Note: Health and Annuity Domain experience is mandatory
JOB SUMMARY:
The role demands a strategic and technically strong Senior Delivery Manager to lead software development initiatives with deep Knowledge and understanding of Life Insurance domain. This role is responsible for driving end-to-end delivery, ensuring scalable solutions, and aligning technology with business and regulatory needs across the insurance ecosystem. This role demands experience of strong collaboration in a onshore/offshore model and flexibility to work in US/India time zones
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Ownership & Strategy
- Own and drive end-to-end software delivery across LIFE INSURANCE domain applications.
- Define delivery roadmaps aligned with business objectives, customer experience, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, engineering teams, operations, and compliance teams.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, delivery plans, and execution strategies.
Software Development Leadership
- Lead full lifecycle development (design, development, testing, deployment, support).
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, Agile methodologies, and DevOps.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, architecture guidelines, and quality benchmarks.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance system efficiency, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Contribute to business case development, budgeting, and investment planning.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, data privacy standards, and audit requirements.
- Establish governance frameworks to maintain quality, risk management, and traceability.
Vendor & Technology Management
- Evaluate and manage third-party vendors and technology partners.
- Drive vendor performance, delivery SLAs, and cost-effectiveness.
Performance & Scalability
- Monitor application performance, scalability, and availability.
- Ensure systems can support high-volume transactions across multiple geographies.
Team Leadership & Enablement
- Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional development teams.
- Enable teams through training, knowledge sharing, and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications
- B.E., B.Tech., MCA, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering roles.
Required Technical Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in software development and delivery management.
- Strong background in enterprise application development within insurance domain.
- Expertise in:
- Software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- System architecture and integration
- Cloud platforms and enterprise applications
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Domain Expertise (Mandatory)
- Strong experience in LIFE INSURANCE Domain:
- Health Insurance
- Life Insurance
- Annuities / Retirement Products
- Deep understanding of:
- Policy Administration Systems
- Claims and underwriting processes
- Billing and customer lifecycle management
Preferred Technical Qualifications
- Extensive expertise in software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps practices.
- Deep technical knowledge and experience with [relevant technologies, e.g., Java, .NET, Python, cloud platforms].
- Certifications such as Leadership or PMP (Project Management Professional) or Agile/Scrum certifications are advantageous.
