About the Role :

We are seeking a skilled Ignition Developer / Lead to design, develop, and maintain industrial automation and IIoT solutions using Inductive Automation's Ignition platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance industrial applications and integrating them with enterprise systems such as MES, ERP, and SCADA.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop applications using Ignition Designer (Perspective, Vision, and Reporting modules).

- Configure and manage Ignition Gateways, projects, and security settings.

- Develop custom tags, scripts, templates, and components for industrial applications.

- Integrate Ignition with PLC systems, databases, MES, and ERP solutions.

- Implement data acquisition, visualization dashboards, and real-time monitoring systems.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Optimize system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.

- For Lead roles : mentor junior developers, lead design reviews, and ensure best practices across projects.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 3-9 years of experience in software development with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience with Ignition (v8.x or higher).

- Proficiency in Python scripting, SQL, and database integration (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).

- Strong understanding of industrial automation protocols (OPC, Modbus, MQTT, BACnet, etc.).

- Experience integrating Ignition with SCADA, PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, etc.), and MES systems.

- Knowledge of Ignition Perspective and Vision modules, including UI/UX design for HMI dashboards.

- Familiarity with IIoT concepts, MQTT Sparkplug B, and cloud integration.

- For Lead role : proven experience in project leadership, client interaction, and technical team mentoring.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud deployment of Ignition applications.

- Exposure to REST APIs, JSON, and web service integrations.

- Understanding of Industry 4.0, digital twin, and data analytics frameworks.

- Ignition certification (Gold / Core) is a strong plus.

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline.
