About the Opportunity :

We are hiring for a leading global technology consulting and digital transformation organization. This role is part of a critical Mainframe Platform Engineering team responsible for maintaining and modernizing enterprise IBM Z environments supporting mission-critical business operations.

The position will play a key role in infrastructure transformation initiatives, including z16 server upgrades, operating system upgrades, security patching, disaster recovery readiness, and platform lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide technical support for IBM Mainframe Services, z/OS Platform Engineering, and IBM Z hardware environments.

- Perform software installation, maintenance, and upgrades using SMP/E.

- Support operating system upgrades, security patching, and platform modernization initiatives.

- Configure and maintain z/OSMF software deployment and maintenance workflows.

- Manage software ordering, installation, and vendor support through IBM systems.

- Analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues using diagnostic and debugging tools.

- Configure and maintain RACF security policies and controls.

- Support Sysplex & Coupling Facility configuration and maintenance.

- Configure and administer IBM Hardware Management Console (HMC) environments.

- Develop and maintain REXX utilities, automation scripts, and system exits.

- Participate in 24x7 on-call support and critical incident management.

- Ensure platform stability, performance, availability, and compliance.

Educational Qualification :

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
