About Role :

As an IT Support Engineer, youll be responsible for keeping the companys hardware, software, and office network running smoothly and securely. This includes setting up and maintaining devices (Windows/macOS), managing IT assets (SnipeIT), handling employee onboarding/offboarding, and troubleshooting network issues. Youll also automate tasks using AppleScript (macOS), Bash (Linux), and PowerShell (Windows) to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities :

Systems & Network Administration :

- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Devices, macOS, and office network hardware (switches, routers).

- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and collaborate with ISPs for stable service.

- Ensure regular system updates, patches, and configuration changes align with security best practices.

Security & Compliance :

- Implement security controls and monitor systems for vulnerabilities.

- Enforce IT policies related to data protection, access control, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2).

- Respond to security incidents and assist with remediation.

Vendor & Inventory Management :

- Coordinate hardware repairs, replacements, and purchases with vendors.

- Track IT assets using SnipeIT and manage device deployments in MDM (VMware Workspace ONE).

Automation & Scripting :

- Write AppleScript, Bash, and PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve system security.

Identity & Access Management :

- Manage user/service accounts and permissions (LDAP), ensuring secure authentication and strict access controls.

- Ensure secure authentication and strict access controls.

Incident & Change Management :

- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system/network issues; document incidents.

- Document incidents and implement changes with minimal business disruption.

Employee Onboarding & Offboarding :

- Set up laptops, accounts, and permissions for new employees.

- Revoke access and ensure proper hardware returns for offboarding employees.

Requirements :

- 1-3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator (or similar role).

- Fluent in English (written and verbal) with strong communication and customer service skills.

- Proficiency in Windows Servers, macOS, and scripting (AppleScript, Bash, PowerShell).

- Hands-on experience with LDAP

- Working knowledge of basic network infrastructure (switches, routers) and best practices for security and compliance.

- Experience with MDM tools (preferably VMware Workspace ONE) and asset management (SnipeIT).

Nice to haves :

- Experience with Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, ADFS, NPS, CA, Office 365, Exchange, and SharePoint.

- Experience with scripting with Bash and/or Powershell.

Preferred :

- Familiarity with Atlassian products (e.g., Jira Service Management).

- Certifications in Windows Server, networking, virtualization, or IT security (e.g., ITIL, Security+).
