Role Purpose :

The Head of Systems will have overall ownership and accountability for the organization's complete systems environment, with primary responsibility for the ERP and all systems required for its effective functioning.

The role will ensure that the organization's systems remain stable, available, integrated, secure and fit for business use at all times, while coordinating with the respective project, development, engineering, software and support teams responsible for individual functions and deliverables.

The Head of Systems will provide overall direction, oversight and governance, ensuring that all individual technology functions work together effectively to support business operations.

The role will work closely with the Group CEO, CEOs and Business Stakeholders to understand business requirements, identify system priorities and ensure that the overall systems environment supports the organization's current and future needs.

Primary Responsibilities :

- Take overall ownership of the ERP and enterprise systems environment.

- Ensure critical business systems are functioning reliably and efficiently at all times.

- Ensure all systems, applications, integrations and supporting components work together seamlessly.

- Provide overall systems direction while allowing respective specialist teams to manage their individual responsibilities.

- Coordinate with project managers, development, engineering, software and support teams to ensure system requirements are effectively addressed.

- Identify system risks, dependencies, gaps and potential points of failure.

- Ensure timely escalation and resolution of critical system issues.

- Oversee system changes, enhancements, upgrades and integrations from an overall systems perspective.

- Ensure appropriate system access, controls, data integrity, backup and continuity arrangements.

- Manage key ERP and technology partners and ensure appropriate service levels.

- Lead and develop the Systems team and establish clear accountability.

- Maintain an overall systems roadmap aligned with business requirements.

- Provide regular updates to the Group CEO on system health, risks, major issues and priorities.

Secondary Responsibilities :

- Drive continuous improvement of the organization's systems environment.

- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.

- Support evaluation and implementation of new systems where required.

- Support systems budgeting and vendor management.

- Ensure appropriate systems documentation and governance.

- Support business continuity, security and compliance requirements.

- Coordinate systems requirements for new business initiatives and organizational expansion.
