Job Description - Hardware Test Engineer

Must-Have Skills :

- 7+ years of experience in hardware testing, preferably for Industrial IO Controllers (AIOC).

- Strong in DNET/ECAT based device testing.

- Expertise in electrical/electronic component-level testing & debugging.

- Experience in developing and documenting test fixtures & jigs for production testing.

- Knowledge of PLCs, IO controllers (digital, analog, temperature), safety devices, and interlock schemes.

- Experience with embedded firmware testing, both manual and automated.

- Proficient in industrial communication protocols - ECAT, DNET.

- Able to understand hardware/firmware test requirements, do wiring, bring-up, and debug.

- Skilled in test scripting (Python, C, C++, VB).

- Familiar with test instruments - DMM, Oscilloscope, Pulse Generator, etc.

- Excellent communication and ability to handle supplier engagement and on-site assignments independently.

Good to Have :

- Experience in schematic design and ECAD tools like OrCAD, Altium, Allegro.

- Knowledge of basic electronic components (MOSFETs, LEDs, Relays, etc.).

- Familiarity with communication interfaces like SPI, I2C, RS-232/485, USB, CAN.

- Exposure to EMC/Safety certifications and compliance testing.

- Understanding of ECO (Engineering Change Orders) and release documentation processes.
