Role Overview :

The Director of Application Services serves as a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of complex application portfolios. In this capacity, you will bridge the gap between technical delivery and business objectives, ensuring that application landscapes are robust, scalable, and aligned with client requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional delivery teams, senior client stakeholders, and internal practice heads to drive operational excellence, manage large-scale engagements, and foster long-term partnerships. Your leadership will directly influence the efficiency of client operations and the overall growth trajectory of the Application Services business unit.

Key Responsibilities :

- Direct large-scale application development and maintenance programs to ensure high-quality delivery and adherence to stringent service level agreements for global clients.

- Architect and implement modernization strategies, including cloud migration and legacy system transformation, to enhance business agility and reduce technical debt.

- Cultivate and manage high-value client relationships by acting as a trusted advisor, proactively identifying opportunities for value addition and service expansion.

- Oversee financial performance, including P&L management, resource optimization, and budget forecasting, to ensure the profitability of the application services portfolio.

- Mentor and lead diverse, multi-geography engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence, and high performance.

- Streamline delivery processes and governance frameworks to improve operational efficiency and ensure consistent project outcomes across the organization.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale application services portfolios with 16 to 22 years of professional experience in the IT services industry.

- Proven ability to lead complex digital transformation initiatives, including deep proficiency in modern application architectures, cloud-native development, and DevOps practices.

- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and influence executive-level decision-making.

- Strong financial acumen with a track record of managing multi-million dollar P&Ls and optimizing delivery margins.

- Advanced communication and negotiation abilities, essential for managing client expectations and resolving high-stakes delivery challenges.

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, supplemented by relevant industry certifications in project management or cloud technologies.

- High adaptability to a hybrid work environment, with the ability to lead distributed teams effectively from the Bangalore office while maintaining high levels of engagement and productivity.
