About the Role :

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with experience in statistical modeling and machine learning to address key challenges in the Life Insurance domain. You will work on predictive and prescriptive models that impact underwriting, claims, pricing, and customer retention, while collaborating with actuarial and business teams to deliver data-driven solutions.

What Youll Do :

- Build predictive models for mortality, lapse, claims, and fraud detection using statistical and ML techniques.

- Apply segmentation and clustering for customer profiling, retention, and cross-sell/upsell strategies.

- Leverage unstructured data (call transcripts, medical notes) with NLP/GenAI for insights.

- Deploy solutions on cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and follow best practices in MLOps.

- Translate technical models into actionable insights for actuarial and business teams.

What You Bring :

- 5+ years of experience in data science/statistical modeling.

- 1-2 years in the Life Insurance/BFSI sector.

- Strong skills in Python, SQL, and R with expertise in statistical methods (GLMs, regression, survival analysis).

- Experience with machine learning techniques (XGBoost, Random Forests, Neural Networks).

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and deployment workflows.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
