About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP BTP CAPM Architect with 10+ years of relevant SAP ABAP experience and strong expertise in S/4HANA development, SAP BTP, CAP, and modern SAP extensibility frameworks.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on development experience across ABAP on HANA and S/4HANA technologies, along with practical exposure to SAP BTP and cloud-based application development.

The candidate should also have development experience in at least two SAP functional areas, enabling them to understand business processes and design scalable technical solutions across different SAP domains.

Key Responsibilities :

SAP ABAP & S/4HANA Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise SAP solutions using modern ABAP and S/4HANA technologies.

- Develop and optimize CDS Views for reporting, data modelling, and application development.

- Develop solutions using AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures).

- Design and develop applications using RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).

- Work with ABAP on HANA and leverage HANA capabilities for high-performance applications.

- Develop and consume services using OData V2/V4.

- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP technical solutions.

SAP BTP & Extensibility :

- Design and develop solutions using SAP BTP ABAP Environment.

- Work with the CAP (Cloud Application Programming) Model for cloud-native application development.

- Develop applications using Business Application Studio (BAS).

- Work with ADT (ABAP Development Tools) and Eclipse for development.

- Design and implement SAP S/4HANA extensions using appropriate clean-core and extensibility approaches.

- Evaluate business requirements and determine suitable approaches for SAP BTP and S/4HANA extensions.

Functional Domain Experience :

- The candidate should have proven development exposure in at least two of the following SAP functional areas :

1. MM Materials Management

2. SD Sales & Distribution

3. PP Production Planning

4. WM/EWM Warehouse Management / Extended Warehouse Management

5. QM Quality Management

6. FI Finance

7. GTS Global Trade Services

8. Procurement & Supply Chain

9. CRM

10. PLM Product Lifecycle Management

11. EHSM Environment, Health & Safety Management

- Work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements.

- Provide technical solutions aligned with underlying business processes.

- Support integration and extension requirements across SAP functional areas.

Mandatory Skills :

- 10+ years of relevant SAP ABAP experience.

- Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.

- Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA development.

- Expertise in : CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, ABAP on HANA, OData V2/V4.

- Strong knowledge of SAP BTP ABAP Environment.

- Hands-on experience with CAP Model.

- Experience with Business Application Studio (BAS), ADT, Eclipse.

- Proven development experience in at least two SAP functional areas listed above.

- Strong solution design and technical problem-solving capabilities.

Good to Have :

- Experience with modern SAP extensibility approaches.

- Experience designing S/4HANA extensions using SAP BTP.

- Experience working on cloud-based SAP application development.

- Strong understanding of SAP architecture and integration patterns.

- Experience collaborating with functional consultants and enterprise architects.

- Experience working on complex enterprise SAP transformation programs.

Ideal Candidate :

The ideal candidate should be a senior SAP ABAP technical architect/developer who has moved beyond traditional ABAP development and has strong hands-on experience with modern S/4HANA, BTP, CAP, and RAP-based development.
