About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Lead SAP BW Consultant to drive enterprise data warehousing initiatives, with strong expertise in SAP BW 7.5, ABAP, Databricks, and SAP Datasphere.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of the architecture, development, optimization, and production support of SAP BW data environments. The role requires strong hands-on SAP BW backend expertise along with the ability to independently develop and troubleshoot complex ABAP programs.

You will also play a key role in bridging existing SAP BW data structures with modern cloud data platforms by leveraging Databricks and SAP Datasphere.

Key Responsibilities :

1. SAP BW Architecture & Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain complex SAP BW 7.5 data models.

- Work extensively with InfoCubes, Advanced DataStore Objects (aDSOs), CompositeProviders, Data flows, and Process Chains.

- Design scalable and efficient enterprise data warehouse solutions.

- Support ongoing enhancements and optimization of existing SAP BW environments.

2. ABAP Development :

- Independently develop, debug, and optimize complex ABAP programs for SAP BW.

- Develop ABAP routines for Start Routines, Transformation Routines, End Routines, Customer Exits, BAdIs, Extractors, and BEx Variables.

- Troubleshoot complex technical issues without requiring external ABAP support.

3. Data Integration & Databricks :

- Design and manage data ingestion pipelines connecting SAP and non-SAP data sources.

- Work with Databricks for modern data integration and processing, including Delta Lake.

4. SAP Datasphere & Modernization :

- Support the modernization of legacy SAP BW environments using SAP Datasphere.

- Design and implement integration between SAP BW and SAP Datasphere.

- Contribute to SAP BW/4HANA migration initiatives where applicable.

5. Performance Optimization & Production Support :

- Troubleshoot SAP BW query performance issues and optimize data loads, process chains, queries, and data models.

Mandatory Skills :

- 8 to 12 years of overall experience.

- Strong hands-on experience in SAP BW 7.5, SAP BW on HANA or NetWeaver.

- Expert-level ABAP programming for SAP BW.

- Strong SAP BW data modelling experience (InfoCubes, aDSOs, CompositeProviders).

- Understanding of Databricks architecture and Delta Lake.

Good to Have :

- Hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA, SQL, Python, and PySpark.
