Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Guidewire PolicyCenter Engineer with strong expertise in both Configuration and Integration within Guidewire PolicyCenter environments.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, configuring, and integrating PolicyCenter solutions to support business processes in the insurance domain.

The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and QA teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality Guidewire solutions aligned with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, configure, develop, and maintain Guidewire PolicyCenter applications and integrations.

- Develop and customize PolicyCenter components including workflows, product model, rules, UI, and business logic.

- Build and support integrations using APIs, web services, messaging, and batch processes.

- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Create and maintain technical design documents, integration specifications, and configuration documentation.

- Ensure adherence to Guidewire best practices, coding standards, and governance policies.

- Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and defect resolution activities.

- Support production deployments, release management, and post-production issue resolution.

- Monitor regulatory and compliance changes impacting insurance workflows and system configurations.

- Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

- Work closely with QA teams to support SIT, UAT, and production validation activities.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for application performance, governance, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Competencies :

- Strong hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration and Integration.

- Expertise in Guidewire components including Product Model, PCF, Gosu, Rules Engine, Workflows, and Data Model.

- Experience with Guidewire integrations using REST APIs, SOAP web services, messaging, and batch interfaces.

- Knowledge of Guidewire Cloud concepts and integration frameworks.

- Strong understanding of insurance domain processes related to policy administration.

- Proficiency in Java, Gosu, XML, JSON, SQL, and web service technologies.

- Experience with Guidewire Studio and development tools.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.

- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

- Good understanding of governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Guidewire PolicyCenter Certification is preferred.

- Experience in Guidewire Cloud implementation or migration projects is an advantage.

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, version control tools, and cloud deployment processes is preferred
