Job Description

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Architect to lead the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise-scale Guidewire solutions for global insurance carrier clients.


This role requires strong expertise in Guidewire platform engineering, P&C insurance domain knowledge, enterprise integration architecture, and technical leadership.

The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end solution architecture across Guidewire implementations, modernization initiatives, cloud transformation programs, and integration ecosystems while collaborating closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and client leadership.

The role also involves contributing to organizational capability building through reusable frameworks, accelerators, reference architectures, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead architecture and solution design for Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter implementations.

- Define scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise architecture aligned with client business objectives.

- Provide technical leadership across the complete project lifecycle including discovery, estimation, solutioning, implementation, deployment, and support.

- Design integration architecture using APIs, middleware, messaging systems, and third-party insurance ecosystem applications.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Drive Guidewire cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.

- Establish architecture governance, coding standards, design principles, and best practices across programs.

- Review solution designs, code quality, integrations, and performance optimization strategies.

- Support pre-sales activities including solution proposals, estimations, client presentations, RFP responses, and architecture workshops.

- Mentor development teams and provide technical guidance on Guidewire configurations, integrations, and customizations.

- Ensure adherence to security, scalability, compliance, and performance standards.

- Identify opportunities for reusable assets, accelerators, frameworks, and integration patterns.

- Work closely with QA, DevOps, and release management teams to ensure smooth delivery and deployment.

- Participate in client discussions, architecture review boards, and strategic transformation initiatives.

Required Skills & Expertise :

- Strong expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter.

- Deep understanding of Guidewire architecture, configuration, integration, and data model.

- Hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform and cloud-native architecture principles.

- Strong knowledge of P&C Insurance domain processes and workflows.

- Expertise in integration technologies including REST APIs, SOAP, Kafka, MuleSoft, and messaging frameworks.

- Experience with Java, Gosu, Spring Boot, and enterprise integration patterns.

- Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated deployments.

- Experience with database design, SQL optimization, and performance tuning.

- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and architectural decision-making skills.

- Experience in leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience in Agile and Scrum delivery environments.

- Exposure to architecture frameworks, governance models, and enterprise solution standards.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Guidewire certifications will be preferred.

- Experience working with global insurance clients and enterprise transformation programs.

- Exposure to multi-cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an added advantage.

- Prior experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, and architecture advisory roles is preferred.
