GlobalFoundries is building next-generation RISC-Vbased automotive real-time microcontrollers and is looking for a Senior Technical Leader to drive post-silicon validation (AVV) and RTOS SDK development.

This role sits at the intersection of architecture, embedded software, and functional safety, enabling advanced automotive applications including EV platforms, ADAS, powertrain systems, and domain controllers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor a 10+ member embedded software and validation team, fostering strong engineering culture and delivery excellence.

- Own the architecture, design, and delivery of RTOS SDK including BSPs, middleware, and low-level drivers.

- Drive first silicon bring-up, define and execute Automotive Validation & Verification (AVV) strategy.

- Collaborate closely with CPU, SoC, and hardware design teams to influence RISC-V architecture, performance optimization, and feature development.

- Ensure compliance with automotive functional safety standards (ISO 26262 / ASIL-D) through robust validation and testing frameworks.

- Define and implement SDK architecture supporting real-time workloads using industry standard RTOS frameworks.

- Work with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and ecosystem partners to deliver production-ready software platforms.

- Contribute to and collaborate with the RISC-V open-source ecosystem to accelerate innovation and adoption.

- Establish best practices for embedded software development, validation automation, and continuous integration.

Required Technical Skills :

- Strong experience in embedded systems development and automotive semiconductor platforms.

- Expertise in RTOS environments including FreeRTOS, AUTOSAR, and custom embedded frameworks.

- Deep understanding of RISC-V architecture and embedded CPU design principles.

- Experience with BSP development, device drivers, interrupt handling, and low-level firmware.

- Proven experience in post-silicon validation and bring-up of complex SoCs or microcontrollers.

- Strong knowledge of automotive functional safety standards including ISO 26262.

- Experience in multithreaded real-time systems, debugging tools, and performance optimization.

- Programming expertise in C/C++ for embedded systems.

- Familiarity with debugging interfaces, JTAG, hardware simulation environments, and silicon validation tools.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience building automotive SDK platforms or embedded ecosystems.

- Exposure to custom RISC-V instruction extensions and real-time multithreading architectures.

- Prior experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.

- Proven ability to lead large technical teams and influence architecture decisions across hardware and software.
