Genesys - Software Engineer - PL-SQL

Job Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL scripts, procedures, and functions to support GIS applications.

- Manage and optimize the storage and retrieval of geospatial data within relational databases like Oracle or PostgreSQL.

- Optimize database queries and perform tuning to enhance the performance of GIS data processing.

- Develop ETL processes to integrate geospatial data from different sources into the database.

- Work with GIS developers and analysts to ensure accurate and efficient integration of database functionalities in GIS solutions.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and test PL/SQL code to ensure high-quality database solutions.

Qualifications & Experience :

- 3-5 Years

Required skills :

Technical Skills :

- Ability to work with PostgreSQL and SQL Server in addition to Oracle, ensuring proficiency across multiple database systems.

- Skilled in database design using tools and optimizing data access and modification for efficient SQL performance.

- Knowledge of advanced PL/SQL features like materialized views, bulk processing, ref cursors, partitioning, and other database constructs.

- Experience in creating backup and recovery strategies for databases to ensure data integrity and availability.

Soft Skills :

- Clear and collaborative with teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills :

- Ability to study and understand business needs to provide efficient database solutions.

- Ability to work with GIS databases.
