Generative AI Engineer - Python/LLM

About the Role :

Were hiring a GenAI Engineer.

This is a product engineering role, not research or prompt engineering. You will work on real-world AI features used by enterprise customers, learning to build production-grade LLM systems with a strong focus on reliability, evaluation, and usability.

Youll work closely with senior engineers and gradually grow into owning end-to-end AI features (model pipeline UI).

What Youll Do :

- Work on LLM-powered document understanding (extract structured data from unstructured inputs)

- Build and improve RAG pipelines (chunking, embeddings, retrieval basics)

- Develop and integrate APIs and backend services (Python)

- Assist in building AI feature UIs and improving usability

- Contribute to evaluation frameworks to measure AI performance

- Support model integration, latency optimization, and cost efficiency

- Help improve AI system reliability (fallbacks, observability, error handling)

- Collaborate with product and engineering to build usable, production-ready features

What Were Looking For :

Must Have :

- 13 years of experience in software development with exposure to AI/LLMs

- Strong programming skills in Python

- Hands-on experience building or contributing to LLM-based applications (chatbots, copilots, document processing, etc.)

- Basic understanding of RAG concepts (embeddings, vector DBs, retrieval)

- Experience building APIs / backend services and integrating external systems

- Familiarity with tools like OpenAI, Gemini, or similar LLMs

- Experience with Git, APIs, and basic cloud environments

- Projects clearly demonstrating what you built (not just tools used)

Good to Have :

- Exposure to FastAPI/Django

- Basic understanding of agentic workflows or tool usage

- Experience with vector databases or LLM frameworks

- Exposure to frontend (React or similar)

- Experience in product startups or fast-paced environments
