Program Manager - Job Description
Level : Director / Associate Vice President
Location : Navi Mumbai, India (On-site)

Summary :
The Program Manager owns the successful delivery of a portfolio of related initiatives that together produce clear, measurable business outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and communicationensuring cross?functional teams are aligned on vision, dependencies are actively managed, risks are surfaced early, and leaders have the information they need to make timely decisions.
The Program Manager does not just track progress; they shape the program structure, orchestrate collaboration across teams, and adapt plans as reality changeswhile keeping outcomes, not activity, at the center of execution.
Key Responsibilities :
Program Framing & Solution Definition :
- Identify and clearly document all components of the end-to-end solution, including (but not limited to) :
1. Software
2. Automation
3. Client Data Access
4. Operations
5. Training
6. Client Relationship Management
- Define how these components fit together to deliver the intended business outcome.
- Create and maintain a high?level program narrative so all teams share a common understanding of what is being built and why.
- Use clear documentation and visuals (roadmaps, diagrams, dependency maps) to drive alignment on vision and scope.
Planning & Workstream Management :
- For each solution component, identify and document the activities required to achieve the goals for the current program phase.
- Break complex initiatives into well-structured workstreams with clear owners, milestones, and success criteria.
- Continuously reassess and redesign workstream plans as assumptions change, risks materialize, or priorities shift.
Dependency & Risk Management :
- Identify, track, and actively manage dependencies across teams, systems, vendors, and clients.
- Proactively surface internal and external risks that could impact scope, timeline, or outcomes.
- Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans before issues become blockers.
- Escalate critical risks and issues early, with clear, data?driven options and recommended paths forward.
Communication & Alignment :
- Ensure consistent, proactive communication across all teamswell in advance of key decisions or handoffs.
- Facilitate shared understanding of requirements, solution design, and execution expectations.
- Actively resolve disconnects between teams caused by :
1. Misaligned goals
2. Incomplete or misunderstood design
3. Execution breakdowns or handoff failures
- Serve as the connective tissue between technical, operational, and business stakeholders.
Execution Oversight & Status Management :
- Repeatedly gather status from each workstream and synthesize it into a clear, integrated view of overall program health.
- Focus reporting on outcomes, risks, and decisionsnot just activity or task completion.
- Adjust plans and priorities to maintain momentum and protect delivery commitments.
Metrics & Executive Engagement :
- Identify leading indicators of program success (not just lagging delivery metrics).
- Produce concise, decision-ready metrics that enable leadership to assess progress and intervene when needed.
- Prepare and lead CXO-level program reviews, clearly articulating :
1. Current state
2. Key risks and dependencies
3. Tradeoffs and decisions required
4. Specific support needed from leadership
Ideal Profile :
- Strong experience leading complex, cross-functional programs with multiple workstreams.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, especially across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to operate comfortably at both strategic and execution levels.
- Data-driven mindset with a bias toward clarity, outcomes, and action.
- Calm, structured problem-solver who brings order to ambiguity.
Experience :
- 8-10 years of overall professional experience, with at least 2-3 years in a Program Manager or Program Owner role.
Domain Expertise :
- Mandatory experience in US Healthcare; Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience strongly preferred.
Education :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Design, or a related field.
This role is critical to translating strategy into coordinated execution and ensuring that complex initiatives deliver real business value.
