Senior Business Analyst - US Healthcare

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong knowledge of US Healthcare, particularly Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and Medical Billing. The role will work closely with Operations, Product Management, Technology, QA and client stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into functional requirements, and support the development and enhancement of healthcare software products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Gather and analyze business requirements from Operations, Clients and other stakeholders.

- Conduct requirement-gathering sessions, workshops and walkthroughs.

- Prepare BRD, PRD, SRS, User Stories and Functional Specifications.

- Work closely with Product Managers to define product features, enhancements and business solutions.

- Act as a bridge between Healthcare Operations and Technology/Development teams.

- Understand operational workflows and translate business needs into clear functional requirements.

- Perform impact analysis for new requirements and process changes.

- Create process flows, use cases, workflows, mock-ups and functional documentation.

- Clarify requirements and provide functional support to Development teams during implementation.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews and requirement discussions.

- Support UAT, prepare/validate test scenarios and ensure delivered functionality meets business requirements.

- Coordinate with QA, Development, Operations, Product and Leadership teams.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and workflow optimization.

Required Skills & Domain Knowledge :

- Strong understanding of US Healthcare and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).

- Hands-on knowledge of Provider Healthcare / Medical Billing; experience with Payer domain is an advantage.

- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows such as Claims Processing, Denial Management, AR Follow-up, Eligibility & Benefits, Prior Authorization, Medical Billing, Medical Coding, and End-to-End RCM Operations.

- Strong experience in Requirement Gathering, Business Analysis, Impact Analysis, Mock-ups and Process Mapping.

- Strong documentation skills across BRD, PRD, SRS, User Stories and Process Flows.

- Experience working with Software Product Development teams.

- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Strong communication, analytical and stakeholder-management skills.

Tools :

- Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office, Visio, and other requirement-management / documentation tools.

Qualification :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Healthcare Management or a related field.

Mandatory Experience :

- 7+ years of Business Analysis experience.

- Mandatory experience in US Healthcare.

- Experience in Medical Billing, Medical Coding or Healthcare RCM.

- Experience working with Software Product Development / Technology teams.

- Strong ability to understand healthcare operations and translate business requirements into software/product requirements.
