We are seeking an experienced GCP Architect with deep expertise in designing, migrating, and implementing scalable cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role will be responsible for defining cloud architecture, leading cloud migration initiatives, and ensuring best practices across security, performance, scalability, and cost optimization. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and project managers to deliver robust cloud-native and hybrid solutions while providing architectural leadership across programs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement end-to-end GCP architecture solutions aligned with business and technical requirements

- Define scalable, secure, and high-availability cloud architectures using GCP best practices

- Lead architectural discussions, solution reviews, and technical design approvals

- Ensure architectural consistency across multiple projects and platforms

- Lead and support cloud migration initiatives from on-premises or other cloud platforms to GCP

- Define migration strategies including re-host, re-platform, and re-architect approaches

- Assess application readiness and dependencies for cloud adoption

- Ensure minimal downtime and risk during migration execution

- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment of cloud infrastructure

- Enforce version control, reusability, and security best practices in IaC pipelines

- Oversee application integration across cloud and on-prem environments

- Guide development teams on cloud-native design patterns and microservices architecture

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and operational best practices

- Ensure smooth integration between applications, data platforms, and third-party services

- Define cloud governance frameworks including security, compliance, and access controls

- Implement IAM, networking, monitoring, logging, and cost optimization strategies

- Ensure systems meet performance, reliability, and scalability requirements

- Support audits, compliance initiatives, and security reviews

- Lead cross-functional teams including developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams

- Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions

- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to architects and senior engineers

- Manage architectural risks, dependencies, and technical debt

Required Skills & Experience :

- 12+ years of overall IT experience with strong focus on cloud architecture 6+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

- 6+ years of experience in cloud migration projects

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform for IaC

- Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture patterns and distributed systems

- Hands-on experience with GCP services such as : Compute Engine, Cloud Run, GKE VPC, Load Balancing, Cloud DNS Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL IAM, Monitoring, Logging, Security services

- Strong background in software development and system integration

- Experience designing APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures

- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools

Soft Skills :

- Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills

- Ability to lead architecture discussions and technical decision-making

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid and contract-based environment

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

- Experience working on healthcare IT or regulated industry cloud solutions GCP Professional certifications (Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer preferred)

- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures
