About the Role :
Gartner is looking for motivated senior leaders to join the Gartner Digital Product Technology team. The team is responsible for developing innovative growth products for end-users. As a hands-on technical leader, you will lead a multi-disciplinary development team to help fulfill our Digital Experience strategy.
What you will do :
- Lead high performing Engineering teams in building innovative software products.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including application developers, product operations, and architects - to translate complex requirements into scalable solutions.
- Establish and implement best practices for automation, operational standards, and cloud deployment strategies.
- Drive problem solving discussions to ensure solutions address the right challenges.
- Create successful deployment, security, and availability strategies for Product in the cloud.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support and improve systems, processes, standards and tools.
- Collaborate closely with other areas of Gartner IT to leverage best practices and shared capabilities, such as our AWS cloud infrastructure and SaaS solutions.
- Partner with Gartner Product group to define and execute on a cohesive technology roadmap and lead teams responsible for building workflow solutions.
- Direct technical activities across estimation, planning, design, build, testing, and deployment
- Mentor and guide developers, providing feedback and identifying growth opportunities
What you will need :
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field required with 14+ years' experience in including leading multidisciplinary teams.
Must have :
- 14 to 20 years of experience in software development
- Exceptional people management skills with an emphasis on mentoring.
- Strong technical background in Java, databases, NoSQL, JavaScript frameworks, and AWS services.
- Strong foundation in application architecture and software development.
- Proven experience in application architecture, Agile methodologies, and code/design reviews.
- Excellent people management, mentoring, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate across IT and business functions to drive innovation.
