Role Summary :

We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst who can independently orchestrate the full project lifecycle - from pre-project discovery and conceptualization, through active project execution and requirements engineering, to post-project client enablement and handover. The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of hands-on experience across business analysis, process design, requirements documentation, and client-facing delivery within IT / Software Services engagements.

Key Responsibilities :

Pre-Project Phase - Discovery & Conceptualization :

- Conduct As-Is and To-Be process analysis across diverse industry verticals; map current-state workflows and design future-state process flows.

- Create process flow diagrams, swimlane charts, and data-flow models to document business operations and identify improvement opportunities.

- Develop conceptual and supporting pre-sales documentation :

i. Interactive wireframes and clickable prototypes (Figma, Balsamiq, or equivalent)

ii. HTML mockups and presentation decks (PowerPoint / Google Slides)

iii. Scope documents, Statements of Work (SOW), and effort estimations

iv. Market research reports for product development initiatives

v. Pricing models and competitive benchmarking documents

vi. Participate in pre-sales calls and RFP/RFI responses; articulate proposed solutions to prospective clients.

Project Phase - Requirements Engineering & Delivery :

- Lead in-depth business requirement gathering sessions with clients through structured interviews, workshops, and JAD sessions.

- Perform comprehensive discovery of client tools, technology stack, integrations, and existing processes.

- Author and maintain formal requirement artifacts :

i. Business Requirements Document (BRD)

ii. Functional Requirements Document (FRD)

iii. Use Case specifications and User Story maps

iv. Traceability matrices linking requirements to deliverables

- Collaborate with development, QA, and design teams to translate business needs into technical specifications.

- Manage requirement change requests; perform impact analysis and maintain version-controlled documentation.

- Facilitate sprint planning and backlog grooming in Agile environments; ensure acceptance criteria are well-defined.

Post-Project Phase - Client Enablement & Handover :

- Conduct client demonstrations, UAT walkthroughs, and solution showcases to stakeholders.

- Prepare and deliver client training sessions; create training guides, video walk-throughs, and FAQ documents.

- Lead idea presentations and solution pitches for upsell / cross-sell opportunities.

- Prepare comprehensive closure and handover documentation :

i. Project closure reports and lessons-learned summaries

ii. System architecture documentation and integration maps

iii. Wireframe and UI/UX design documentation packages

iv. Knowledge transfer and operations handover documents

- Ensure smooth transition to support / maintenance teams with complete traceability.

Cross-Cutting Orchestration :

- Act as a single point of coordination across pre-project, project, and post-project phases - ensuring continuity of context, requirements, and client relationships.

- Proactively identify risks, gaps, and dependencies across lifecycle stages and escalate with actionable recommendations.

- Maintain a centralized knowledge repository of templates, reusable artifacts, and best practices.

Required Skills & Competencies :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to decompose complex business processes into structured requirements.

- Proficiency in process modeling (BPMN, UML activity/sequence diagrams).

- Hands-on experience with wireframing and prototyping tools (Figma, Balsamiq, Axure, or similar).

- Excellent documentation skills - BRD, FRD, SOW, scoping documents, and architectural write-ups.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and Google Workspace.

- Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Trello, Asana, or equivalent).

- Strong verbal and written communication; ability to present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Working knowledge of Agile (Scrum / Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.

- Basic understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, and integration patterns.

- Client-facing presence with the ability to lead discovery sessions, demos, and training independently.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst in IT services, software product development, or consulting environments.

- Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications (CSM, CSPO) are a plus.

Nice to Have :

- Experience with HTML/CSS for creating conceptual mockups or landing pages.

- Exposure to market research methodologies and competitive analysis frameworks.

- Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot) and analytics tools.

- Prior experience in outsourcing / offshoring engagement models.
