Job Title : Kafka Product Owner (Cloud Integration Crew)

Location : Hyderabad / Bangalore

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly experienced Kafka Product Owner to join our Cloud Integration Crew. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for designing, building, reviewing, and operating Kafka platform capabilities while owning the product vision and backlog.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Apache Kafka and platform engineering, driving enterprise-scale adoption and innovation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Drive the Kafka product roadmap aligned with business goals and technology strategy.

- Engage with business stakeholders to gather feedback and translate needs into platform capabilities.

- Own and prioritize the product backlog with deep technical understanding.

- Define clear acceptance criteria for platform features and enhancements.

- Manage dependencies, technical risks, and ensure adherence to security and risk compliance from a Kafka platform perspective.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable event streaming solutions.

Skills and Experience :

- 15+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and platform engineering.

- 5+ years leading Kafka product strategy, roadmap definition, and enterprise-scale adoption.

- Deep understanding of Apache Kafka concepts and event-driven/asynchronous integration patterns.

- Expertise in designing and reviewing Kafka platform components such as Schema Registry, Dynamic Quota Provisioning, Authentication and Authorization (mTLS or IAM).

- Strong code and pull request review skills.

- Agile delivery experience within platform teams.

- Knowledge of multi-cluster and environment isolation strategies.

- Practical experience embedding DevSecOps, SDLC, observability, resiliency, and AI principles into Kafka platform design, automation, operations, and governance.
