Position : Director IT DevSecOps (GTC)

Position Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Director of DevSecOps to lead our global DevSecOps organization based in Bangalore, India. This role is critical to ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our SaaS production environments. Reporting to the VP, Head of Global IT Operations, the Director will oversee CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, database operations, and release deployments while driving automation, security, and operational excellence across production systems.

This leader will guide a 24x7 team supporting customer upgrades, migrations, data integrity fixes, and infrastructure management across multiple global environments. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in DevOps and security with strong leadership, process discipline, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

Operational Leadership :

- Lead and manage the DevSecOps organization, including CI/CD engineering, infrastructure operations, database support, and Power BI operational support.

- Maintain 24x7 operational readiness with a globally coordinated team.

- Ensure production uptime at or above 99.95% through disciplined operational practices and automation.

- Oversee environment provisioning, release readiness, and deployment execution across production and non-production environments.

Production Platform Operations :

- Own the stability and performance of the SaaS application infrastructure across Azure compute, storage, networking, and identity integrations.

- Ensure configuration consistency, monitoring, observability, and capacity planning.

- Implement automation to reduce manual work for deployments, upgrades, migrations, and data operations.

Security Execution :

- Execute security controls including patching, vulnerability remediation, access enforcement, and certificate/secret rotation as defined by the CISO.

- Maintain production access separation-of-duties, least-privilege enforcement, and complete audit trail integrity.

- Collaborate with CISO on security testing cycles (e.g., penetration testing, scanning), ensuring timely remediation and documentation.

Release & Deployment Operations :

- Lead execution of production deployments, customer upgrades, patch cycles, and environment migrations.

- Ensure release packages meet quality gates defined by QA and SMO prior to deployment.

- Standardize deployment patterns, rollback procedures, and cutover runbooks.

Customer Upgrade & Migration Execution :

- Own operational execution of customer upgrade waves, ensuring predictable timelines and resource planning.

- Develop automation and tooling to accelerate the upgrade cadence and reduce manual effort.

- Ensure compliance with SLAs and communication protocols coordinated through Customer Support and SMO.

Team Leadership & Collaboration :

- Mentor and develop senior engineers and technical leads, fostering operational discipline and continuous improvement.

- Partner closely with QA, Engineering, DBA, and SMO to strengthen cross-functional alignment.

- Participate in budgeting, resource planning, and optimization efforts in partnership with FinOps and Finance.

Position Requirements :

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent professional experience in DevOps/Cloud engineering.

- 10+ years of experience in DevOps or similar IT Operations function supporting production workloads in Azure, 6+ years management experience, with 2+ years Director level or above.

- Strong expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM, etc.), and monitoring systems (Zabbix, Datadog).

- Deep understanding of database management, networking, and security controls in production systems.

- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale deployments, upgrades, and data migrations.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, QA, and business teams.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience in financial or fintech SaaS environments.

- Hands-on familiarity with Power BI, SQL Server, and Azure cloud administration.

- Knowledge of ITIL, ISO 27001, or SOC 2 control frameworks.
