ETL Quality Assurance Tester

Key Responsibilities :

Database & ETL Testing :

- Validate ETL processes, data pipelines, and transformations across Oracle and PostgreSQL environments.

- Write and execute PL/SQL queries to verify data integrity, consistency, and performance.

Scripting & Automation :

- Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate test execution and reporting.

- Implement test automation frameworks for regression and functional testing.

Quality Assurance :

- Design, document, and execute test cases for DB/ETL workflows.

- Identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely resolution.

- Conduct performance and scalability testing for large datasets.

Collaboration & Documentation :

- Work closely with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to understand requirements.

- Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test results, and defect logs.

- Participate in defect triage meetings and provide insights for process improvements.

Qualifications :

Experience :

- 8+ years in QA/testing with a focus on DB/ETL systems.

Technical Skills :

- Strong expertise in PL/SQL for data validation and query writing.

- Proficiency in shell scripting for automation.

- Hands-on experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.

- Solid understanding of ETL workflows and data warehouse concepts.

Other Skills :

- Familiarity with defect management tools (JIRA, HP ALM, etc.).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
