Role Overview :

The Zuora Revenue Architect will provide functional leadership for Revenue Recognition and Revenue Management solutions, working closely with Finance, Revenue Accounting, Business, IT and Technical teams.

The role focuses on understanding business and accounting requirements, designing functional solutions, configuring/validating Zuora Revenue, and supporting implementation and UAT.

Key Responsibilities :

Business & Functional Analysis :

- Lead customer and stakeholder discussions to understand Revenue Recognition, Billing and O2C requirements.

- Conduct requirements and process discovery workshops.

- Perform FIT/GAP analysis and recommend appropriate Zuora Revenue solutions.

- Document requirements, use cases, process flows and functional specifications.

- Translate accounting requirements into scalable functional solutions.

Solution Design & Implementation :

- Design end-to-end Revenue Recognition and Revenue Management solutions.

- Define functional flows across Order Management, Billing and Revenue.

- Design solutions aligned with ASC 605/606 and customer accounting policies.

- Configure and validate Zuora Revenue functionality, including revenue rules, allocations, performance obligations and accounting treatments.

- Guide technical teams on integrations and custom requirements.

Testing & Go-Live :

- Define functional test scenarios and support SIT/UAT.

- Validate revenue calculations, accounting outcomes and reconciliations.

- Support production rollout, period close and post-go-live stabilization.

- Identify process improvements and recommend best practices.

Customer & Stakeholder Management :

- Act as the functional SME for Zuora Revenue and Revenue Recognition.

- Lead solution walkthroughs, demos and business discussions.

- Work with Finance, Revenue Accounting, IT and Business teams to resolve functional issues.

- Create functional documentation and support user training.

Ideal Candidate :

A functional Revenue Management consultant/architect who can understand the business, translate accounting requirements, design the functional solution, configure/validate Zuora Revenue, lead UAT, and support Go-Live. Strong development skills are not mandatory, but candidates should understand integrations and be comfortable working with technical teams.
