Role Overview :

Seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager with strong Full Stack development expertise for one of our clients in Hyderabad. This role combines technical leadership, people management, and hands-on engineering responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

- Conduct performance reviews, goal setting, career development planning, and talent management activities.

- Drive recruitment efforts, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention of top engineering talent.

- Provide technical leadership and hands-on contribution across the full software development lifecycle.

- Partner with Product Managers, Architects, Security, and Business stakeholders to define and deliver technology solutions aligned with business objectives.

- Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, code quality standards, security requirements, accessibility standards, and operational excellence.

- Support production applications, incident management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Java Development : Spring Boot

- API Development & Management : Apigee or similar API Gateway platforms

- Database Technologies : Oracle, PostgreSQL

- Cloud Platforms : AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, CodePipeline)

- Containerization & Orchestration : Docker, Kubernetes

- CI/CD : Harness, Jenkins, GitHub Actions

- Monitoring & Observability : New Relic, Splunk

- Application Security : Qualys, Contrast, Prisma Cloud

Mandatory Requirements :

- 12 - 18 years of experience with at least 2 years as an Engineering Manager.

- Strong Full Stack Engineering background with hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Application Security.

- 80% Hands-on Technical and 20% Team Management split.

- Experience managing a team of at least 6 engineers.

- Active coding and technical leadership experience.

- Experience in architecture, design reviews, production support, and stakeholder management.
