Engineering Manager - Android Platform

Job Description :

What would you be doing/ Expected from this role ?

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Android engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

- Oversee the technical design and development of Android applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to define and

prioritize features and projects.

- Implement best practices in software development, testing, and delivery, including code

reviews, design patterns, and Agile methodologies.

- Drive the Android teams technical strategy, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and alignment with company goals.

- Ensure the team adheres to high coding standards and contributes to unit, integration, and UI testing frameworks.

- B.Tech in Computer Science/MCA with 9+ years of progressive industry experience 2+ years of technical management experience.

- Must be passionate about building world class software

- Strong experience in building high performance teams hiring, mentoring and retaining top talent.

- Very good at CS fundamentals, Code design, Object-oriented programming. Strong empathy for end-user experience.

- Strong experience with mobile technologies

- Self-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable with aggressive deadlines and executing on fast iteration cycles.

- Experience working in Git, Stash, Jira and other productivity tools.

- Strong understanding of Design patterns.

- Prior to being in technical management role must have had strong development

background and architected scalable server systems.

- Must have experience with agile planning and delivering short release cycles (bi-weekly

releases)

- Creation of reusable libraries and mobile application frameworks.

- Evaluate and research the latest technologies.

- Experience in software product companies and startups a great plus

- Working closely with back-end development team and UX design team to implement mobile product requirements

- Must have excellent communication (verbal & written), interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills

- Must be able to thrive in fast paced environment.
