About the Role :

We are a product-first B2B SaaS platform entering a focused scale-up phase after strong product-market validation. The Tech Engineering Lead will own end-to-end engineering outcomes across architecture, execution, quality, security, and delivery for critical product modules.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, building scalable systems, and taking full ownership-from design to production stability-while working closely with Product, Business, and Customers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own end-to-end engineering delivery for core product modules and platform capabilities

- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable system architectures

- Make pragmatic architectural and delivery trade-offs balancing speed, quality, and scale

- Remain hands-on through coding, code reviews, and production debugging

- Enforce high standards for code quality, testing, performance, and reliability

- Own information security and compliance requirements (ISO 27001, SOC 2, DPDP, etc.)

- Lead audits and ensure ongoing compliance readiness

- Lead, mentor, and build accountability within the engineering team

- Align team capacity and skills with delivery priorities

- Own production systems, incident management, root-cause analysis, and preventive improvements

- Participate in client-facing technical discussions and work with client IT teams when required

Must Have :

- 8-12 years of strong, hands-on software engineering experience

- Background in product-led SaaS or platform companies (non-services mindset)

- Proven experience delivering complex, enterprise-grade systems with high quality

- Strong problem-solving ability and structured thinking

- Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous startup or scale-up environments

- Ability to clearly articulate technical decisions and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders

- Willingness to stay close to code while leading teams

Good to Have :

- Experience building enterprise B2B or HR Tech platforms

- Exposure to cloud-native, distributed systems or microservices architecture

- Experience working with distributed or growing engineering teams
