Job Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Edifecs Developer to join our healthcare IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with the Edifecs product suite, healthcare EDI transactions, and integration technologies.
This role involves designing, developing, and supporting healthcare data exchange solutions that ensure accuracy, compliance, and performance in payer and provider ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, configure, and support solutions using the Edifecs platform, including :
- Edifecs XEngine Server
- Edifecs SpecBuilder
- Edifecs Transaction Manager (TM)
- Edifecs Integration Console
- Edifecs Healthcare Transaction Repository (HTR)
- Build, maintain, and optimize EDI transaction flows for healthcare standards such as 837, 835, 834, 270/271, and 276/277.
- Develop and manage data mappings and transformations using SpecBuilder for inbound and outbound transactions.
- Work with XML, XSLT, JSON, flat files, and CSVs to support data integration requirements.
- Implement and consume web services (REST/SOAP) for system-to-system integrations.
- Perform database queries, analysis, and troubleshooting using SQL across RDBMS platforms such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Develop scripts using Groovy or JavaScript within Edifecs environments; Java experience is a plus.
- Monitor and troubleshoot application issues using server logs and integration tools.
- Support deployments, configurations, and environment setups while following best practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and external partners to ensure accurate and timely data exchange.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, regulations, and internal quality guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 510 years of experience as an Edifecs Developer or in a similar healthcare integration role.
- Strong hands-on experience with the Edifecs product suite (XEngine, SpecBuilder, TM, Integration Console, HTR).
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare EDI transactions (837, 835, 834, 270/271, 276/277).
- Solid understanding of healthcare payer and provider workflows.
- Strong experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server).
- Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP web services.
- Proficiency in XML, XSLT, JSON, and data transformation techniques.
- Experience with Groovy or JavaScript scripting in Edifecs environments.
- Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and follow deployment best practices.
Nice to Have / Preferred Skills :
- Java development experience.
- Experience with Git and version control in CI/CD environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and automated deployments.
- Exposure to cloud or distributed server environments.
