EBS Finance Functional Consultant

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Finance Functional Analyst to support and enhance our Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environment for a US-based client. This role focuses on application support, incident management, and functional enhancements across Oracle Financial modules, ensuring system stability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

Oracle Finance Functional Support :

1. Accounts Payables (AP)

2. Accounts Receivables (AR)

3. General Ledger (GL)

4. Fixed Assets (FA)

5. Intercompany Transactions

6. Project Costing

- Act as the primary point of contact for business users for finance-related system queries and issues

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within defined SLAs

Incident & Enhancement Management :

- Handle service incidents, problem tickets, and enhancement requests

- Perform root cause analysis and provide sustainable solutions

- Work on minor enhancements and change requests in existing EBS setup

- Collaborate with technical teams for customizations and fixes

Requirements Gathering & Functional Design :

- Prepare Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and solution blueprints

- Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend optimal solutions within Oracle EBS

Configuration & Implementation Support :

- Support implementation and rollout activities for new features or modules

- Ensure proper setup of accounting rules, workflows, and financial processes

SDLC, Testing & Documentation :

- Prepare :

i. Test plans and test cases

ii. Execution results and defect logs

iii. Quality review documents

- Participate in Unit Testing, SIT, and UAT support

- Ensure all changes are documented, reviewed, and approved before production deployment

Collaboration (Onsite-Offshore Model) :

- Coordinate with global teams, including client stakeholders, technical developers, and QA teams

- Provide timely updates, status reports, and documentation

Required Skills & Experience :

Must-Have Skills :

- Strong experience in Oracle EBS Finance modules

- Hands-on expertise in at least 2 core modules (GL, AP, AR, FA)

- Experience in incident management and production support

- Strong knowledge of financial business processes and accounting principles

- Experience in requirements gathering and functional documentation

- Familiarity with SDLC processes and testing methodologies

Preferred Skills :

- Knowledge of Intercompany accounting and Project Costing

- Exposure to custom components and extensions in EBS

- Ability to work in a client-facing role with US stakeholders
