DXC Technology is seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server Developer to join our growing Data & Analytics team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining robust and scalable SQL Server-based solutions, playing a key role in the management of data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data warehousing projects.

This position requires strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory (ADF) along with proficiency in performance tuning and data warehousing best practices. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with a passion for database design and data quality.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop efficient database structures, stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, and scripts using T-SQL and PL/SQL.

- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for high-performance transactional and analytical workloads.

- Perform data modeling, database normalization, indexing strategies, and table partitioning to support scalable solutions.

- Develop ETL solutions using SSIS and Azure Data Factory (ADF) to integrate data from multiple sources.

- Contribute to the design and maintenance of data warehouses, data marts, and operational data stores.

- Implement data quality, data integrity, and data governance standards.

- Perform data profiling, transformation, cleansing, and validation tasks to ensure consistency and reliability.

- Conduct performance tuning and query optimization using execution plans, indexing strategies, and system monitoring tools.

- Proactively identify and resolve issues related to database performance, deadlocks, blocking, and data latency.

- Work closely with BI developers, application developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to gather data requirements and deliver end-to-end data solutions.

- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for database architecture, data dictionaries, and ETL workflows.

- Contribute to code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring junior team members.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in SQL Server development

- T-SQL / PL SQL scripting and stored procedures

- ETL development using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)

- Azure Data Factory (ADF) for cloud-based data integration

- Data warehousing architecture and methodologies

- Strong skills in query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning

- Good understanding of database security, backups, recovery models, and high availability strategies
