Job Summary :

The Senior Quality Assurance professional will be responsible for hands-on test execution to ensure the quality and stability of software applications. This role focuses on designing, executing, and maintaining test cases, identifying defects, and working closely with development and product teams to deliver high-quality releases. The position requires strong testing expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to independently own testing activities for assigned modules or applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and smoke testing activities across multiple releases.

- Analyze business and technical requirements to create detailed and effective test cases and test scenarios.

- Maintain and continuously update test cases based on new requirements, change requests, and defect fixes.

- Perform thorough defect identification, logging, verification, and retesting using defect tracking tools.

- Validate fixes and ensure defects are properly closed as per defined quality standards.

- Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases and hidden defects.

- Execute test cycles on different environments (QA, UAT, staging) and ensure environment readiness for testing.

- Perform data validation and basic database testing where applicable.

- Participate in requirement reviews, sprint grooming, and sprint ceremonies from a testing and execution perspective.

- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts to clarify requirements and test expectations.

- Ensure adherence to test execution timelines and release schedules.

- Prepare and share test execution status, defect summaries, and test closure reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance.

- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC with practical experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Proven experience in manual test execution with strong test case design skills.

- Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira,).

- Testing complex workflows

- Familiarity with cross-browser and cross-device testing

- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman or similar.

- Basic understanding of SQL or MongoDB for backend data validation.

- Good understanding of regression testing strategies and execution.

- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

- Ability to work independently on assigned testing tasks with minimal supervision.

- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
