Role : Data Specialist

Role & responsibilities :

- Primarily responsible for helping the data manager execute detailed data design work to drive the correct data quality standards (data modelling, mapping, and flow design).

- Working in partnership with technical and data management teams to handle data configurations and data engineering work.

- Business analysis to understand stakeholder requirements and translate them to technical data model and mapping specifications

- Provide data quality, data privacy, and data standards requirements

- Coaching of success managers on brand onboarding requirements for data

- Consultation and expertise on digital commerce data model

- Support data engineers in troubleshooting of ETL pipeline issues

Preferred candidate profile :

- At least 3 years of experience in the IT industry, in a software development team (primarily in a BA role)

- Hands-on experience in data engineering technologies (SQL, Python, RESTful APIs)

- Hands-on experience in database administration and data modelling

- Degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field

- Experience in Cloud Technologies preferred

Skills :

- Application of data technologies (SQL, Linux, Shell Scripting, Relational databases, data models/diagrams, API Driven development, Microservices, CI/CD, Cloud technologies - GCP, AWS and/or Azure)

- Understanding of Data Mining, Data Modeling, and Data Provisioning

- Nice to have : Programming skills ability to read code (Python, Java, Git, other scripting)

Soft Skills :

- Strong written and verbal communication

- Problem-solving skills, ability to independently manage low-complexity projects

- Independent learning agility & desire to learn new technologies
