Job Role : DRM Security Testing Engineer

Work Experience : 6 to 15 Years

Location : Bangalore

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop security test strategies for DRM-enabled multimedia platforms

- Validate DRM implementations such as PlayReady and Widevine (L1/L3) on embedded and Android-based devices

- Develop and maintain automated DRM security test frameworks using Python, pytest, or similar

- Perform content protection, license flow, key management, and secure playback validation

- Analyze DRM logs, crash dumps, and playback failures

- Ensure compliance with DRM certification requirements and partner guidelines

- Act as a quality stakeholder to ensure secure content playback and customer experience

- Collaborate with development and platform teams to troubleshoot DRM-related issues

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong experience in DRM security testing : PlayReady and Widevine

- Hands-on experience with DRM automation using pytest or similar frameworks

- Experience with ADB shell, logs, crash analysis, and issue reproduction

- Knowledge of secure video/audio pipelines, codecs, and protected playback flows

- Familiarity with firmware/middleware validation on embedded or Android platforms

Preferred Skills :

- DRM certification testing and compliance

- Exposure to AI-assisted test automation tools (test generation, log analysis, failure prediction)

- Knowledge of secure boot, TEE, key ladders, and trusted execution environments

- Understanding of video/audio formats, encryption schemes, and streaming protocols

- Experience with consumer electronics devices such as TVs, set-top boxes, streaming devices

- Familiarity with Dolby, secure AV sync, or premium content validation
