Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines for high-velocity time-series healthcare data.

- Work with cross-functional teams (Data Science, Product, and Clinical) to understand data requirements and translate them into engineering solutions.

- Manage and optimize batch and real-time data ingestion and processing using modern data engineering tools.

- Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data lakes to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning workflows.

- Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability systems to ensure data quality and pipeline uptime.

- Collaborate with DevOps and ML Ops to deploy and monitor data services in production environments.

- Ensure compliance with healthcare data security and privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2, ISO27001).

- Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and lead the effort to resolve them.

Requirements :

- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering or related roles.

- Proficiency in building ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, Kafka, or similar.

- Strong programming skills in Python (preferred), Scala, or Java.

- Experience working with time-series data and large-scale distributed data systems.

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (preferred AWS).

- Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.

- Experience working with structured and unstructured data across different storage formats (Parquet, Avro, JSON).

- Understanding of data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning for analytical workloads.

- Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD practices, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Nice to Have :

- Experience working in a healthcare, biomedical, or IoT environment.

- Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, or other healthcare data standards.

- Exposure to ML pipelines and working knowledge of TensorFlow Extended (TFX) or MLflow.

- Experience with data observability tools like Great Expectations, Monte Carlo, or OpenLineage.

- Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and compliance frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, ISO13485).

- Prior experience collaborating with Data Science teams to deploy ML models into production.
