DigitalXnode - Performance Engineer - Telecom Domain

Job Overview :

We're looking for a highly skilled Performance Engineer with extensive experience in the Telecom domain. You'll be instrumental in designing, building, and optimizing applications and tools to ensure the highest levels of system performance, scalability, and reliability across our critical infrastructure. This role demands deep technical expertise in performance testing, engineering methodologies, database tuning, cloud environments, and container orchestration.

Key Responsibilities :

- Write high-quality, efficient code in programming languages like Java, C++, Python, Javascript, .NET, or Golang to build performance testing frameworks and automation tools.

- Conduct in-depth database performance analysis, design, tuning, and monitoring for relational databases (Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) using tools like AWR, ASH, ADDM, and TkProf.

- Apply strong knowledge of tuning and database administration for NoSQL databases, including Cassandra, MongoDB, and Apache Ignite.

- Implement and optimize caching solutions and strategies using technologies such as Redis, Memcache, Infinispan, or Hazelcast to improve application response times.

- Perform performance tuning and monitoring on Unix/Linux operating systems using tools like tcpdump, Wireshark, netstat, vmstat, iostat, top, and sar, alongside shell programming/scripting.

- Conduct comprehensive JVM tuning, monitoring, thread, and heap dump analysis using tools like JVisualVM, JConsole, JFR, and MAT.

- Optimize the performance of various application containers including Nginx, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, and IIS.

- Apply extensive Performance Engineering expertise in Cloud environments such as Google Cloud (GCP) and Azure Cloud.

- Drive performance optimization within container-based environments like Kubernetes and Apache Mesos.

- Utilize knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet for infrastructure as code and configuration management related to performance environments.

- Execute Performance Engineering optimization over DataLake or Data Platforms (Big Data/Hadoop/Hive/Spark) to ensure efficient data processing.

- Develop specialized data analysis tools or visualization dashboards for real-world application and network performance metrics.

Required Experience & Qualifications :

- Demonstrated ability to write high-quality code in at least one programming language (Java, C++, Python, Javascript, .NET, or Golang).

- Strong capabilities in Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases, including development, design, tuning, and monitoring (AWR, ASH, ADDM, TkProf).

- Strong knowledge of tuning and Database Administration over NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, and Apache Ignite.

- Knowledge of Caching solutions/strategies (Redis, Memcache, Infinispan, Hazelcast).
