Role Summary :
As the Head of the Generative AI CoE, you will drive the research, development, and enterprise adoption of Generative AI technologies across the organization. You will lead a multidisciplinary team of AI engineers, researchers, and data scientists to shape cutting-edge solutions using LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, and multi-modal models. This is a senior leadership role that combines thought leadership, delivery oversight, and technical strategy.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership & CoE Build-Out :
- Define and execute the vision and roadmap for the Generative AI CoE.
- Establish best practices, frameworks, and reusable components for GenAI solutions across domains.
- Lead strategic planning, capability development, and enterprise-wide evangelism of GenAI.
- Architect and oversee development of GenAI-powered applications including LLM fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
- Drive experimentation and innovation in areas such as multi-modal AI, agent-based frameworks, and contextual learning.
- Ensure integration of GenAI with scalable cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Governance, Ethics & Compliance :
- Build frameworks for responsible AI usage, including usage policies for public LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, etc.)
Talent Development & Thought Leadership :
- Hire, mentor, and upskill a high-performing team of AI engineers and researchers.
- Represent the company in external forums, conferences, and consortiums as a thought leader.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Partner with engineering, product, business, and client teams to align AI solutions with business goals.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders on GenAI solutioning, architecture, and delivery for POCs, pilots, and production rollouts.
Required Qualifications :
Education :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related disciplines. PhD preferred but not mandatory.
Experience :
- 13 - 15+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI systems.
- Minimum 5 years in building and scaling GenAI/LLM-based solutions.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional AI teams in fast-paced environments.
Technical Skills :
- Expertise in LLMs (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, Falcon, Mistral, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of RAG pipelines, LangChain, Vector DBs (FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma).
- Familiarity with fine-tuning techniques: LoRA, QLoRA, PEFT, Adapter methods.
- Proficient in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, FastAPI, HuggingFace, scikit-learn.
- Experience deploying AI models on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Exposure to MLOps, model versioning, CI/CD, and containerized deployment (Docker,
Kubernetes).
Desirable Skills :
- Knowledge of knowledge graphs, multi-agent orchestration, and multi-modal AI systems.
- Experience with compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, AI Act) and responsible AI.
- Published papers, patents, or open-source contributions in AI/ML/LLMs.
Soft Skills :
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills for both technical and business audiences.
