- Conduct architecture reviews, code audits, and technical design validation to ensure quality and compliance.
- Guide teams on microservices, API-first, and event-driven architecture adoption.
- Own and document NFRs including performance, reliability, scalability, security, and disaster recovery.
2. Innovation & Emerging Technology Integration :
- Develop Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) to validate new ideas and architecture decisions.
- Promote technical learning through internal workshops, knowledge sharing, and best practices.
3. Operational Excellence & Cloud Optimization :
- Ensure system observability, monitoring, and performance tuning using AWS-native tools.
- Support troubleshooting of complex distributed systems and production issues.
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines, IaC adoption (Terraform or AWS CDK), and DevOps alignment.
4. Solution Design & Pre-Sales Collaboration :
- Partner with Sales and Delivery teams for client discovery, solution proposals, and technical presentations.
- Support onboarding of new clients and define initial architectural direction.
5. Leadership, Mentorship & Cross-Team Guidance :
- Mentor developers, tech leads, and junior architects.
- Influence engineering culture with a strong focus on quality, innovation, and accountability.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on technology strategy and architectural roadmap.
Required Skills & Technical Competencies :
Primary (Must Have) :
- Strong expertise in AWS Cloud Architectureserverless, microservices, event-driven design, cost optimization, security, and automation.
- Strong hands-on proficiency with Node.js and modern backend frameworks (Express.js, NestJS, AdonisJS).
- Deep knowledge of distributed systems, containerization (Docker), orchestration (ECS/EKS), and event driven processing.
- Hands-on with API Gateway, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB/RDS.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for scaling issues, distributed systems, and production problems.
- Ability to build and evaluate POCs for validating architecture decisions.
Secondary (Good to Have) :
- Familiarity with multi-account AWS setups, cross-region architecture, and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, X Ray).
- Knowledge of Python automation or AI/ML service integrations.
- Basic understanding of frontend architecture patterns (micro-frontends, state management).
Additional (Preferred) :
- DevOps certification or strong hands-on expertise in CI/CD.
- Experience with API design standards (REST, GraphQL, CQRS, Saga pattern).
