Key Responsibilities :
- Design, build, and maintain network automation workflows for provisioning, configuration, and validation.
- Implement network-as-code practices using version control and repeatable automation.
- Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts for network operations and integrations.
- Integrate network automation into CI/CD pipelines for safe, auditable network changes.
- Automate configuration, compliance checks, and operational tasks across network devices.
- Support monitoring, telemetry, and troubleshooting of automated network systems.
- Collaborate with DevOps, cloud, and platform teams on hybrid and cloud networking.
- Participate in incident resolution and post-incident analysis for network-related issues.
- Contribute to documentation, testing, and standardization of network configurations.
Required Skills :
- Hands-on experience in network engineering with automation exposure.
- Strong scripting experience in Python (APIs, structured data, error handling).
- Working knowledge of Ansible for network automation.
- Familiarity with Terraform (especially for cloud networking).
- Solid understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
- Experience working in Linux-based environments.
- Understanding of Git-based workflows and basic CI/CD concepts.
- Exposure to cloud networking in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with NETCONF, YANG, REST APIs, or vendor SDKs.
- Familiarity with Jinja templating for configuration generation.
- Understanding of BGP, OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN (conceptual or hands-on).
- Exposure to network monitoring and telemetry tools.
- Basic understanding of network security concepts (TLS/SSL, IPSec, firewalls).
- Awareness of SRE concepts such as reliability, change failure rate, and MTTR.
- Experience working in Agile teams.
