DevOps Engineer - Docker & Kubernetes

Description :

Kubernetes & Platform Engineering :

- Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters in cloud and on-premise environments.

- Manage OpenShift Kubernetes deployments and enforce platform security best practices.

- Implement Kubernetes security hardening including RBAC, Pod Security Standards, Security Contexts, Network Policies, and Admission Controllers.

- Perform cluster upgrades, scaling, patching, and lifecycle management.

- Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of Kubernetes platforms.

Helm & Operators :

- Create and manage Helm chart operators for application lifecycle management.

- Build reusable, versioned, and secure Helm templates for multi-environment deployments.

- Enforce Helm chart validation, governance, and security standards.

CI/CD & GitOps :

- Implement GitOps-based deployment strategies using ArgoCD.

- Harden ArgoCD deployments including RBAC, authentication, repository access, and secrets handling.

- Automate application releases, rollbacks, and promotions.

- Enforce policy-as-code and deployment governance across environments.

Containerization & Docker Security :

- Implement Docker hardening and container security best practices.

- Integrate container image scanning and vulnerability management into CI/CD pipelines.

- Ensure runtime security and compliance for containerized workloads.

Cloud & Infrastructure :

- Implement cloud auditing, monitoring, logging, and compliance controls.

- Integrate Kubernetes with cloud-native secret management services.

- Support autoscaling, cost optimization, and high-availability architectures.

- Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or equivalent.

Monitoring & Operations :

- Support incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

- Continuously improve platform reliability through automation and operational best practices.

Security & DevSecOps :

- Integrate secure code analysis tools (SAST) into CI/CD pipelines.

- Analyze security scan results and drive remediation efforts.

- Implement secret management and secure configuration practices.

- Collaborate with security teams on audits, compliance, and risk assessments.

- Promote and enforce DevSecOps practices across the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications :

- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (cloud and on-premise).

- Extensive experience with Helm charts and Helm chart operators.

- Proven experience with ArgoCD and GitOps-based deployments.

- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker security hardening.

- Experience with OpenShift Kubernetes.

- Solid CI/CD pipeline development and release automation experience.

- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Strong understanding of container security, secret management, and DevSecOps practices.
