We are seeking an experienced Database Engineering Lead (AVP) to drive the performance, stability and scalability of our Azure-based data platform.

The role combines hands-on database engineering, cloud technologies and technical leadership.

What You'll Do :

- Lead the design, optimisation and operation of Report Hub's database platforms.

- Drive performance tuning, resilience, automation and cloud adoption initiatives.

- Support high-volume, business-critical production environments.

- Lead incident resolution and continuous improvement activities.

- Mentor engineers and act as the senior escalation point for database-related matters.

- Partner with Product, Engineering, Architecture and Support teams to deliver a scalable, secure platform.

What We're Looking For :

- Extensive SQL Server and Azure SQL experience.

- Strong database administration, architecture and performance tuning expertise.

- Experience with Azure, DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.

- Proven technical leadership experience within complex enterprise environments.

- Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

- Financial services or regulatory reporting experience would be advantageous.
