Delivery Manager - Technical (Engineering Delivery & Program Leadership)

Role Summary :

We are looking for a Delivery Manager with a strong technical background, who has evolved from roles such as Tech Lead / Technical Architect into delivery leadership.

This role requires a balance of technical understanding and delivery ownership, ensuring high-quality execution of complex engineering programs while aligning with architecture, scalability, and business goals.

Key Responsibilities :

1. End-to-End Delivery Ownership

- Own delivery of multiple projects/programs across teams

- Ensure timelines, quality, and predictability of releases

- Drive execution aligned with business priorities

2. Technical Delivery Oversight

- Collaborate closely with Architects and Tech Leads

- Review technical designs to ensure feasibility and scalability

- Ensure engineering decisions align with long-term architecture

3. Program & Portfolio Management

- Manage cross-functional programs and dependencies

- Track KPIs, delivery metrics, and project health

- Drive planning, forecasting, and execution governance

4. Stakeholder Management

- Act as the bridge between Business, Product, and Engineering

- Communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans

- Manage escalations effectively

5. Team & Resource Management

- Manage and mentor engineering teams

- Drive productivity, accountability, and performance

- Allocate resources effectively across projects

6. Delivery Governance & Process Excellence

- Define and enforce Agile/Scrum delivery processes

- Improve delivery efficiency and reduce bottlenecks

- Establish SOPs and best practices

7. Risk & Quality Management

- Identify risks early and drive mitigation strategies

- Ensure quality standards and minimize production defects

- Oversee release readiness and deployment processes

8. Collaboration with DevOps & Architecture

- Ensure alignment with:

- CI/CD pipelines

- Deployment strategies

- System performance and scalability goals

Required Skills & Experience :

- 12-18 years of experience in software engineering and delivery

- Mandatory: Prior hands-on technical experience as:

- Tech Lead / Senior Engineer / Technical Architect

Strong understanding of :

- System design and architecture

- Backend (.NET) and frontend ecosystems

- Databases, APIs, and distributed systems

Proven experience in :

- Delivery / Program Management

- Agile methodologies

- Stakeholder management

Preferred :

- Experience in real-time / high-scale systems

- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)

- Domain exposure (Power / Industrial / Enterprise platforms)
