ServiceNow CMDB/Discovery Lead (Asset Data Remediation)

Are you a hands-on ServiceNow expert who loves untangling complex data and building bulletproof CMDBs? We are looking for a ServiceNow CMDB/Discovery Lead to own an end-to-end asset data remediation project.

This is a 100% Remote (India) role requiring 8+ years of experience and a direct overlap with US EST business hours for live coordination and client-facing delivery.

Shift Timings : (5:30 PM - 2:30 AM) US EST Shift (Must overlap for daily coordination & weekly client updates)

What Youll Do :

- Own the Data : Conduct initial assessments of the current CMDB to pinpoint gaps, duplicates, and inconsistencies.

- Drive Remediation : Build and execute a comprehensive roadmap covering processes, data sources, and integrations.

- Tune Discovery : Set up and optimize ServiceNow Discovery, MID Servers, probes, and patterns.

- Master the Rules : Configure Identification & Reconciliation (IReconciler) rules to resolve conflicting data sources cleanly.

- Cross-Team Collaboration : Partner with Infrastructure, Network, Security, Procurement, and Support teams to validate asset ownership and lifecycle status.

Required Skills & Experience :

- ServiceNow CSA Certification is a strict must-have.

- 8+ years of IT experience with proven, heavy hands-on depth in ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, MID Servers, and CSDM framework.

- Strong working knowledge of IReconciler rules and pattern tuning.

- Real-world experience cleaning up asset data at enterprise scale.

- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, data manipulation) for analyzing massive datasets.

- Top-tier communication skillsyou will be the single point of contact running weekly status calls directly with the client.

Nice to Have :

- CIS - Discovery, CIS - Hardware Asset Management (HAM), or CIS - Data Foundations certifications.

- Experience with third-party tools like Intune, Kaseya, or Flexera.

- CIS - Service Mapping or Event Management.
