Datastage Administrator

Description :

Job Summary :

The role requires strong hands-on expertise in IIS administration, troubleshooting, Linux scripting, and exposure to cloud migration initiatives.

The candidate will also be part of a high-priority on-call support group.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer and support IBM Information Server (IIS) v11.7, including :

1. DataStage

2. FastTrack

3. Information Governance Catalog (IGC)

4. Information Analyzer (IA)

- Perform installation, upgrade, and migration of IBM IIS environments.

- Analyze and propose approaches for :

1. Lifting IBM IIS workloads to cloud

2. Migrating from IBM IIS to alternative ETL tools

- Provide advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting support for IIS and DataStage issues.

- Work with Linux environments, including scripting for automation and operational support.

- Participate in on-call support rotations for critical production systems.

- Collaborate with international stakeholders across multiple teams and geographies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong expertise in :

1. IBM IIS 11.7 architecture and administration

2. DataStage Admin activities (services, users, jobs, performance, security)

- Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix and shell scripting.

- Experience in IBM IIS installation, upgrades, and migrations.

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Nice to Have / Preferred Skills :

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) tool selection for cloud is in progress.

- Experience supporting or planning cloud migration strategies for ETL tools.

- Prior experience working in global / cross-functional teams.
