- Translate business requirements into functional specifications - Define data models, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and create data dictionaries.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Build and maintain effective communication channels with clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams - Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other team members to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct data analysis and prepare reports - Analyze data trends, identify insights, and prepare reports to support business decision-making.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices - Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data warehousing, business intelligence, and cloud computing.
- Excellent documentation (BRD, FRD) skills and Use Cases is a must.
Technical Skills :
- Domain Knowledge - Banking Domain knowledge is must (Preferably US Banking).
- Business Requirement Gathering - More than 5 yrs of experience in Banking / Report requirements and create BRD/FRD
- Banking Process - Must be well versed with banking processes, terminologies, rules, regulatory policies and correlate with reporting requirements
- Dashboards & Visualization - Familiarity and usage of the reporting tools is must
- Agile Methodologies - Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, DevOps).
- Data Modeling - Experience with conceptual and dimensional modeling, star schema, snowflake schema is a must.
- Data Warehousing Concepts - Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data quality checks, data profiling is a must.
- Cloud Platforms - Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, familiarity with GCP is a plus.
Qualifications :
- A minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a data-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and methodologies.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in data modeling and data visualization tools.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
- Strong client-facing and interpersonal skills.
