Position Overview :

As a Datacom Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in networking protocols and Python-based automation, you are required to have hands-on experience in L3 protocol testing, traffic generators, and automation frameworks, with the ability to design and execute end-to-end test strategies for switches and routers.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong hands-on experience in Datacom / Networking testing.

- In-depth knowledge of L3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, VRRP, etc.).

- Experience testing enterprise-grade Switches and Routers.

- Strong programming skills in Python for automation.

- Experience with PyATS and/or Robot Framework.

- Hands-on experience with traffic generators such as IXIA and Spirent.

- Experience working with RPC and JSON-based communication.

- Ability to independently write detailed test plans and automate end-to-end test cases.

- Strong logical thinking, analytical skills, and debugging capability.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in CI/CD integration for automated test suites.

- Knowledge of networking hardware architecture.

- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for Datacom products (Switches/Routers).

- Perform functional, regression, system, and end-to-end testing of networking features.

- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python.

- Implement and enhance automation using PyATS and/or Robot Framework.

- Validate and troubleshoot L3 protocols including : BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, VRRP, etc.

- Conduct performance and scalability testing using traffic generators like IXIA and Spirent.

- Work with RPC using JSON for configuration and validation.

- Analyze logs, debug issues, and collaborate with development teams for root cause analysis.

- Ensure quality standards are met across releases through automation-driven testing.
