Datacenter Administrator

Key Responsibilities :

- Understand and adhere to cable color codes, data speed capacities, and various network zones such as Production, DMZ, UAT, and PCI DSS

- Operate fiber and UTP testers for cable validation and troubleshooting

- Perform cable splicing and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for cabling work as required

- Collaborate with teams to support active equipment such as switches, servers, intelligent PDUs (iPDUs), MUX, STS, and Out-of-Band (OOB) switches

- Identify, patch, and manage SAN, LAN, and UTP ports and maintain up-to-date patching

schedules

- Maintain operational standards and best practices while working in critical data center

environments

- Coordinate with data center managers and requestors for approvals, documentation, and effective communication related to data center infrastructure tasks

Mandatory Skills :

- Proficiency in cable laying, termination, testing, and patching processes

- Strong understanding of data center network zones and compliance requirements

- Experience working with fiber/UTP testers and cable splicing techniques

- Familiarity with data center active equipment (switches, servers, iPDUs, etc.)

- Good documentation and communication skills for coordination and reporting

Qualifications :

- Prior experience working in critical data center or telecom environments
