- Plan, execute, and manage database migration projects to MySQL from Oracle or other platforms

- Perform schema conversion, data migration, and rigorous testing for data consistency

- Utilize tools like MySQL Workbench Migration Wizard, Oracle SQL Developer Migration Pack, or other third-party solutions

- Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency during and after migration

- Write and maintain scripts (Bash, Perl, Python) to automate migration and validation tasks

- Optimize queries, manage indexing, and apply performance tuning techniques in MySQL

- Ensure compliance, data security, and proper access controls across the environment

- Monitor system health, critical functionalities, and troubleshoot issues proactively

- Collaborate with developers and devops teams to ensure efficient integration and delivery

- Maintain thorough documentation and apply best practices in database change management

Required Skills :

- Proven experience in MySQL database administration and migration

- Deep understanding of MySQL architecture and features

- Experience working with large datasets, data export/import, and validation techniques

- Knowledge of version control systems and change management processes

- Strong in query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance analysis

- Experience scripting with Bash, Perl, or Python

- Familiarity with Oracle to MySQL migration methodologies
