Database Administrator - Oracle DB

Required Skills and Experience :

- Working knowledge of Oracle 19c/Exadata added capabilities and functionality.

- Strong programming/development skills using PL/SQL (package, procedures, functions, triggers) a plus.

- Proficient in performance tuning (PL/SQL) using SQL Trace, Explain Plan, Indexing, and Hints.

- Strong knowledge of database triggers, indexes, and partitioning.

- Expertise in Oracle architecture.

- Proficient in reading Query Execution Plans with the ability to evaluate and improve performance characteristics of SQL.

- Manage database objects like table space, users, indexes, roles, privileges, profiles, and synonyms.

- Coordination with the automation team for the scheduling of various AWA jobs to be executed on multiple databases.

- Support ongoing efforts and provide technical support for multiple database re-platforming efforts to Exadata.

- Reviewing and implementing data loading scripts related to GoldenGate data replication.

- Optimization and tuning of SQL queries and indexes in Oracle.

- Monitoring of the database performance as it relates to memory usage, proper backups, active sessions, long-running queries, tablespace configuration, and space allocations.

- Coordinate with data architects and analysts on the building of schemas, tables, functions, views, stored procedures, and roles.

- Provide DBA supervision and Oracle best practices guidance for custom application development and routine database administration efforts.

Essential Skills and Competencies :

- Extensive working knowledge of all aspects of Database Data Movement and Processing, including GoldenGate and Informatica ETL.

- Familiarity with JIRA workflow processes and agile methodology.

- Working experience with TOAD or Oracle SQL Developer.
