Database Administrator

Description :

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with 5+ years of hands-on experience to manage, maintain, and optimize our database systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in database performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain database servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar)

- Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency

- Perform database tuning, indexing, and troubleshooting

- Ensure data security, integrity, and availability

- Manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning

- Handle database migrations, upgrades, and patches

- Collaborate with development teams to design efficient database structures

- Implement and maintain access controls and data policies

- Monitor system health and proactively resolve issues

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator

- Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems

- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB

- Expertise in performance tuning and query optimization

- Hands-on experience with backup & recovery strategies

- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments

- Understanding of data security and compliance

- Experience with cloud databases (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus

Preferred Skills :

- Knowledge of scripting (Shell, Python)

- Experience with high-availability and replication setups

- Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
