Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist Lead to drive advanced data science initiatives while leading and mentoring a high-performing team. This role combines hands-on machine learning expertise, research-driven innovation, and people leadership to deliver impactful, production-ready ML solutions aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of senior and junior data scientists, as well as interns, fostering technical growth and excellence.

- Plan, prioritize, and execute data science and ML projects aligned with organizational goals and business impact.

- Oversee team workload, timelines, and delivery to ensure efficient execution and high-quality outcomes.

- Drive end-to-end ML system design, from data acquisition and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.

- Translate complex business problems into scalable ML and AI solutions.

- Stay deeply engaged with machine learning research, reviewing and implementing relevant academic papers and state-of-the-art techniques.

- Lead initiatives involving Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).

- Review models, code, and experimentation approaches to ensure best practices and reproducibility.

- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to align ML initiatives with strategic priorities.

Required Qualifications :

- 7+ years of experience in data science or machine learning roles.

- Proven experience leading and mentoring teams, including senior/junior data scientists and interns.

- Strong project planning and prioritization skills with a business-oriented mindset.

- Hands-on expertise in machine learning and deep learning techniques applied to complex, real-world problems.

- End-to-end experience building and deploying production ML systems.

- Demonstrated ability to bridge research and practical implementation, including applying academic research to production use cases.

- Experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models.

- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Nice to Have :

- Experience working in fast-paced or product-led environments.

- Exposure to MLOps tools and ML platform design.

- Experience presenting research or solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
